Genoveva Añonma Nze: Soccer Player
Genoveva was born on October 12, 1987. She started playing professional soccer as a forward in 2005 with the Aguilas Verdes de Malabo. She later joined the USV Jenas in 2009 and eventually took them to the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, scoring the team's only two goals in the match. In 2012, Genoveva was named African Women Footballer of the year. She is currently playing for the Turbine Potsdams.

Emilio Buale Coka: Actor
Emilio was born November 26, 1972. When he was 6 years old, he moved the Spain with his parents and brothers. He later started working as a fireman and a construction engineer, having no intention of becoming an actor. In 1995, Paco Pino- a casting director-saw Emilio in a subway. Pino was in need of an African American actor to play the character Ombasi in the movie Bwana, so he asked Emilio if he would take the part. Emilio accepted Piso's request and moved to Almería two weeks later to film the movie. After the debute of Bwana, he continued acting in movies, television shows and theatre.

Paloma Loribo Apo and her niece, Piruch Apo Botupá, are a duo in the group Hijas del Sol, or Daughter's of the Sun. In 1992, they participated in a music competition and won best original song, as well as best choreography. In 1995, they debuted their first album, Sibéba. The album was released not only in Equatorial Guinea, but in the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe as well. They continue singing and writing songs in both Spanish and Bubi, and traveling as an aunt and niece duet.
